Wayne Sachs for Gympie Regional Council

I’m a current Cooloola Shire Councillor and have enjoyed being so for the past eight years.

This local government election is probably the most important for several decades, and that is why I am re-nominating for Council.

I am dedicated to this region as Gympie is my home town. I want to continue to focus on a positive plan for the area.

I live with my wife, Susie (to whom I have been married for the past 22 years) in our home situated 10 kms out of town at Long Flat. We have two beautiful daughters Lauren and Claire.

I enjoy making a positive contribution to peoples’ lives, and assisting individuals and community organisations to achieve their full potential.

Professionally, I work as an ambulance paramedic and my association with the ambulance service commenced in 1974.

Having been a Councillor for two terms, I am very aware of the issues that impact on the Gympie region, and have worked hard to achieve results which have benefited this community. I have never been one to sit back and do nothing so I will continue working hard on community issues.

As a candidate in the first Gympie Regional Council, I seek your vote so I can serve you in a broader role than before. I will continue to work passionately for the Gympie region.
