Time Wasters

A local myth has developed over recent years. It proclaims that some councillors are wasting Council’s precious time. What the myth doesn’t do is describe what these Councillors are actually doing. It only seeks to defame them.

Residents are often seriously aggrieved by Council decisions but completely ignored by the decision-makers.

In fact, the delays and debate these ‘timewasters’ are guilty of are due to their efforts to pursue and protect residents’ interests.

That is the job of a Councillor, isn’t it? To support residents? Amazing that some think otherwise. Perhaps they’ve been in the job too long.
